The brakes are accomplished by a fierce friction between the brake lining and the brake drum, with two semi-circular brake linings installed in the brake shoes, using the lever principle to push the brake pads into contact with the inside of the hub and friction.
The brake drum works by creating friction by rubbing with the brake linings attached on the brake shoes and slow down the wheels with friction. When the brake pedal is pressed, the force of the foot will push the master cylinder and create pressure in the oil circuit.The fluid pressure from the master cylinder supplies fluid to the wheel cylinder causing the brake shoe to expand, then the brake lining will contact with the rotating brake drum to provide braking action.
